OVERVIEW
This week you have learned about important program requirements, university policies, and
course scheduling. Now you will have the opportunity to use the information you learned to
create your proposed course schedule.
INSTRUCTIONS
Using the Proposed Course Schedule Template, you will be creating your own proposed
course schedule. In your proposed course, please ensure the following items have been
considered:
Your plan must include each course required for degree completion.
o If you transferred in any courses, please be sure to indicate those on your schedule
in the correct semester. For example, if you transferred in SOWK 625, you would
indicate that in the semester you would be taking SOWK 625.
Your first semester should start with the semester you started the program.
You should consider the scheduling of field enrollment and field experiences to meet
requirements and your schedule.
Some courses may be more challenging for you compared to others. For example, SOWK
580 & 680, our research courses, can be the most difficult courses as they are focused on
research. Therefore, you may want to consider taking these courses in a sub-term by
themselves.
MSW Student Community. This module will provide you with course descriptions and
prerequisite information.
